The Platinum Adventures Club is a unique travel and activities group for our customers age 50 or better. Join our club for great opportunities to meet new people, make new friends and enjoy activities such as:
• Day trips to interesting and unusual sights in Chicago and neighboring communities, such as trips to the latest museum exhibits and theater productions incorporating delicious meals in our adventures whenever possible
• Extended travel to domestic and international destinations. Our adventures will travel in style with deluxe transportation and superior accommodations
• Informative seminars on timely topics
Joining the club is free and simple. If you are at least 50 years of age and have $5,000.00 in deposits and an active checking account at our bank, you are eligible! The only expense you incur is the cost of the events and trips you attend.

Exploring Music with Bill McGlaughlin: America Then and Now

Bill McGlaughlin, host of WFMT’s popular program, Exploring Music, narrates a program of American works spanning 125 years performed by the Grant Park Orchestra and conducted by Carlos Kalmar. Highlighted are traditional works by Chadwick, Gershwin and Bernstein, to the mavericks of today, including John Adams. You will have a reserved seat in the Pritzker Pavilion, a boxed dinner and a pre-concert talk with a music docent. Reservation required.

Rockford Rendezvous

Founded in 1834 by immigrant settlers, it is home to a myriad of unique attractions, the rolling Rock River and world renowned gardens. We will learn the history of this town on the Rock River, visit the Anderson Japanese Garden, enjoy lunch at the Cliffbreakers River Restaurant and visit the restored Coronado Theatre. This Victorian Palace is home of the Jasper Sanfilippo collection of beautifully restored antique music machines, phonographs, arcade and gambling machines, chandeliers and art glass plus much, much more. It also is the home of the world’s largest restored five manual, Mighty Wurlitzer Theatre Pipe Organ. The 44,000 sq. ft. Jasper estate is hidden away on 57 picturesque acres in Barrington Hills. Alpine Explorer with the Glacier Express and Oberammergau Passion Play
May 2010
This trip is available only every ten years. You will be visiting Italy, Switzerland, Austria and Germany and witnessing a performance of the Passion Play in Oberammergau. The cost of the trip for double occupancy is $5,999 per person. Reservations must be made by August 15, 2008 with an $850 deposit. A second deposit of $1000 is due one year prior to departure and final payment is due in January of 2010. You may cancel for any reason up until the day before departure for a full refund less the $350, non-refundable insurance premium.

Cancellations are for emergencies only.
